Cornerstone Club is 4,800 acres of breath taking high-altitude terrain with 360 degree views of the surrounding peaks and alps of the West Elks, Cimarrons, and San Juans. The first tee sits at over 9,200 feet above sea level and sets the pace for an uncommon mountain golf experience. The golf course is not forced into steep side slopes or extreme uphill/downhill holes that plague most mountain golf course routings. The design concept for the renovation is inspired by the classic sensibilities of “Golden Age” architecture while delivering bold and unique design concepts by the Dusenberry Design team.

A private golf course on the Ellerstina Polo estate outside of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dusenberry Design was asked to develop a unique design concept on this 30 acre property. Our solution was to design the ultimate in private estate golf. The concept is “open format” and unstructured so as to allow limitless imagination by the client. Play from anywhere to any green or pin position.

Founded in 1892, The Country Club of Farmington is one of the two oldest clubs in Connecticut, sharing a founding year with the Country Club of Greenwich. The original 9-hole course was revised by Devereux Emmet in 1916 who then expanded it to 18 holes in 1921. Measuring 6,539 yards and covering 140 acres along the Farmington River and the rolling foothills of the Talcott Mountain ridge.

The improvements to the golf experience are focused on restoring and recapturing the green and fairway sizes along with tree management to peel back the layers that are hiding the landforms, view lines, and strategy of Emmett’s design.

Improvements are on-going and executed in phases to limit play disruption for members and correspond to available capital funding.

An 18-hole municipal golf course built in the early 1990’s for the City of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The golf course had not undergone significant renovation since original construction. The course needed updates to infrastructure such as drainage and irrigation while also updating all grass species to the newest cultivars. The renovation goals and priorities were improved playing conditions, improved drainage for year-round play, and targeted improvements to strategy, playability, player enjoyment and pace of play.

Post-renovation the facility experienced record highs in rounds played and revenue. The success of the renovation led the City to construct a new $6 million clubhouse.
